Keeping Carnatic Music Alive in the Pacific Northwest

For over a decade, Abhinay Fine Arts has brought world-class artists to the Seattle area — often before they become the names everyone suddenly “discovers.” From powerhouse vocalists like Ranjani–Gayatri and TM Krishna to the next generation of trailblazers like Ashwath Narayanan and Spoorthi Rao, these concerts have shaped a vibrant, committed community of listeners who show up year after year.

What makes this scene so special isn’t just the music. It’s the continuity — the way audiences return, children grow into rasikas, and artists feel at home performing here. Seattle audiences can be sharp critics, warm supporters, and curious explorers all at once. That energy pushes us to keep expanding the repertoire: thematic productions, veena and flute showcases, large ensemble works, and performances that highlight the depth and nuance of Carnatic tradition.

As we archive and highlight past seasons, we’re also setting the stage for what’s next. Abhinay’s commitment has always been simple and stubborn: bring the best, nurture the future, and keep our community connected through the art we love.

More reflections, artist spotlights, and behind-the-scenes stories are coming soon. For now, enjoy the walk through our recent seasons — and get ready for the next chapter.
