Festival of Classical Dances from India

This was a unique festival that gave the community a unique opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of India through its diverse classical dance forms. The festival brought the various Classical Dance forms of India and dancers from the Puget Sound area together on one platform. Performances from several dance schools representing various dance forms including Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, and Odissi were presented. The event witnessed unprecedented participation.

Sri Ashok Ramani, grandson of Tamil Music Composer Papanasam Sivan, performed on April 11, 2008. The audicence was treated to a wonderful selection of compostions of Sri Sivan.

Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan : Vocal Carnatic Concert

We were fortunate that Sri Santhanagoplan, who is also Dr Sanjay Subramanian’s Guru, agreed to present our inaugural concert on March 8, 2008. The grand concert was extremely well appreciated and featured signature pieces by Sri Santhanagoplan that highlighted both his intellectual prowess and keen sensitivity.
