Ramayana Sudha Dance Ballet

May 10, 2020 · 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Presented in honor of the birth of Lord Rama, the Ramayana Sudha Dance Ballet was planned as a large-scale production featuring a troupe of nine dancers. The performance was designed to bring episodes from the Ramayana to life through expressive choreography, coordinated ensemble movement, and classical storytelling techniques. With its blend of narrative, music, and dance, the ballet aimed to offer audiences a vivid and celebratory artistic experience rooted in traditional aesthetics. This event was envisioned as a centerpiece of the spring season’s dance programming.

Choreography by Smt. Shobanaa Bhalchandra, music score by Rajkumar Bharti and narration by the renowned scholar Dushyant Sridhar.
