10th Anniversary Inaugural Concert – Bombay Jayashree

The 10th Anniversary Inaugural Concert by Bombay Jayashree opened the anniversary season with an evening that honored a decade of artistic programming and community engagement. Held on April 8, the event brought together long-time supporters, new audiences, and artists whose work has shaped the organization’s classical arts presence in the Pacific Northwest. The concert was framed as both a celebration and a reflection of the values that have guided the organization since its inception: quality, authenticity, and meaningful access to the Indian classical arts.

This performance was chosen to represent the breadth of classical tradition, creating a balanced offering that acknowledged vocal& instrumental practices.

The concert also served as a gathering point for many within the wider arts community. Alumni participants, long-standing collaborators, and emerging artists were present, creating a sense of intergenerational continuity. This blend of perspectives underscored the purpose of the 10th anniversary: recognizing the work accomplished while reinforcing a commitment to future programming.

As an inaugural event, the concert set a clear tone for the anniversary year—a season built on reflection, gratitude, and renewed artistic ambition. It provided audiences with an opportunity to engage deeply with classical repertoire and offered a cohesive beginning to a milestone year in the organization’s history.
